Week 4 - Bound to be a big one

Welcome back fantasy fanatics, Week 4 is upon us and our teams are finally settling in, waiver wires are hot, and trading blocks are active. Have you made the moves to make your team great? First let's dive into the awards from last week.

WEEK 3 AWARDS:

MVP: Dree Brees (NO) and Antonio Brown (PIT)
I had to award both players with co-MVP's, mainly because they scored the same amount of points in normal ESPN settings. Seconly looking at their statistics, mind-blowing: Brees threw for 342 yards with 3 passing TD's and add on 1 rushing TD that surprised Brees himself. Antonio Brown on the other hand almost broke the 200 yard receiving barrier, by having 9 catches for 196 yards, and 2 TD's. Although the Steelers did not win, that is an mind-bottling performance.
Bust of the Week: Arian Foster (HOU)
I wish I was able to tell you what is going on with Foster this year. Yes, I know he is coming back from that injury but he is an elite RB regardless. 12 rushes for 54 yards and ZERO TD's against a weaker Baltimore defense that we have seen in the past. In general, the Texans aren't clicking as a team at this point of the year. And with the Seahawks this week, don't expect any big from Foster. I would keep him on your bench for Week 4.

Sleeper of the Week: Josh Gordon (CLE)
Trade your best player away, start a back-up quarterback, already have a sub-par team, and win? How does that make sense. Jordan Cameron came out big again, but the unexpected start emerged, Josh Gordon. Gordon went off for 10 catches for 146 yards and 1 TD in their 31-27 win over the Vikings.

Week 4 predictions:

Star of the Week: Adrian Peterson
Playing in London, the one superstar on the field... He is going to show England how America plays football, expect a huge game from AP.
 Prediction: 150 yards rushing, 3 rushing TD's

Sleeper of the Week: Lamar Miller (MIA)
I'm predicting the Lamar Miller will find his grove on the big stage on Monday Night, with the Saints allowing an average of 98 yards/game rushing and with the unpredictable passing game of Tannehill, Miller will get the touches and the opportunity.
Prediction: 100 yards rushing, 2 total TD's

Bust of the Week: LeSean McCoy
After a strong Week 1 and 3 by McCoy, don't expect those numbers against the Broncos, IN DENVER! He will put up average numbers, but not over 100 yards total.
Prediction: 80 total yards, 1 TD

Bold Prediction:
Darren McFadden scores 4 total TD's against a weak Washington defense resulting in a Raider win.

Good luck to everyone and remember to ask lineup and trade questions to @NFLFantasyHub

Week 3 Preview! Go Deep!

It's Saturday night which means only one thing... NFL Sunday Football is just one night's sleep away. Hope everyone's fantasy teams are set for tomorrow and if they're not, here's a little. Let's dive right into this.

Let's start off by pointing some awards from Week 2 :

MVP: Aaron Rodgers

This was a tough one to choose but numbers do not lie. The guy was nearly perfect, completing 34/42 passes with zero interceptions. Pretty good day at work, not to mention his 4 touchdown passes in his efforts to lead the Packers to a 38-20 win over the Redskins.

34/42, 480 yards, 4 TD's 0 INT's

Bust: Ray Rice (BAL)

Not just the bust for Week 2, but so far this year! He is not putting up the point he is expected to. With a disappointed game in Week 1, only scoring 12 fantasy points (ESPN) he dropped even more with only 1 fantasy point, that's right, one. As one of the most versatile RB's in the league, these are not the performances you expect from him, and people aren't too happy with him.

13 rushes, 36 yards, 0 TD's

Sleeper: Sam Bradford
The Rams are coming into to town, so fans know they will see big things from, Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Steven Jackson, but Sam Bradford changed the mood a little bit in Atlanta. Expecting to get blown out, Bradford almost led his Rams to victory.

32/55 352 yards, 3 TD's 1 INT, 0 Sacks

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Week 3 predictions:

Star of the Week: Matthew Stafford (DET)

I could have easily chosen Rodgers or Manning here but I could not pass up on Stafford going up against the horrendous Redskins pass defense. With 635 yards through two games so far, don't be surprised if he breaks 1,000 yards after Week 3.

Prediction: 31-45, 400 yards, 3 TD's

Sleeper of the Week: Joique Bell (DET)

With Reggie Bush ailing a knee injury and questionable for this week's game, Bell will get more carries regardless if Bush plays or not. And it is not like Bell doesn't get carries before, just expect more touches for him, especially near the goal line.

Prediction: 18 carries, 100 yards, 2 total TD's

Bold Prediction:
Brian Hoyer (CLE) will throw for over 250 yards, and beat the Vikings. Can't I just be the first one to predict that?

And 1-3 players that will shine this week

Calvin Johnson (DET)
Marshawn Lynch (SEA)
Trent Richardson (IND)

Week 2. Coming at you!

Welcome back everyone for the installation of NFL Fantasy Hub's weekly thoughts. As there were many surprises last week that were unpredictable, I will try my hardest to give you the best bets, when it comes to your Fantasy Football lineups.

Let's start off by pointing some awards from Week 1 :

MVP: Peyton Manning (DEN)

  • I don't think we can argue this one. Manning put up "video-game" type numbers on Thursday night to kick of the NFL season against the Baltimore Ravens. Many were weary when it came to the endless amount of targets that Manning has and was unsure if he could feed all of them. And that is exactly what he did. His stats:
    •  27-42, 462 yards, 7 TD's 0 INT's
Bust: David Wilson (NYG)
  • For Wilson being my sleeper from last week, he really made me look bad. Giants gave him a shot at starter with Brown injured. Wilson did not take advantage of it, being benched in the first half, accumulating -3 fantasy points (ESPN). His stats:
    • 7 rushes, 19 yards, 2 lost fumbles.
Sleeper: Julius Thomas (DEN) and Jared Cook (STL)
  • Who? Exactly. It may be the year of the tight end with these unknown TE's erupting for big games. Expect their QB's to continue to target them. Their stats:
    • Thomas: 5 catches, 110 yards, 2 TD's
    • Cook: 7 catches, 141, 2 TD's
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Week 2 predictions:

Star of the Week: Andre Johnson

With Foster still splitting carries until he's back to full health, and Tennessee's above average run defense (only gave up 27 yards total last week), I'm expecting a big game from Mr. Johnson.
Prediction: 8 catches, 125 yards, 2 TD's

Sleeper of the Week: Giovani Bernard (CIN)

Although he has a disappointing rookie debut, and unsure when he will take on the payload of the carries. (Unannounced by the Bengals) I feel he will break out rushing and receiving, and why not this week against the Steelers. There is potential, only having 22 yards, but only on 4 carries.
Prediction: 85 yards rushing, 45 yards receiving, 2 total TD's

Bust of the Week: Tony Romo (DAL)

Probably the most unpredictable QB in the league, and has not yet synced with Dez Bryant, and with a strong performance from the Chiefs last week... I don't think Romo has much going for him. With the QB being a deep position this year, I would start someone else. If Carson Palmer is available, he has a lot of upside in Arizona.
Prediction: 175 yards passing, 1 TD, 3 INT

Bold Prediction:
Terrelle Pryor will rush for 100 yards and throw for 200 yards and 3 TD's in a win over the Jaguars

And 1-3 players that will shine this week

Darren McFadden (OAK)
Mike Vick (PHI)
Jimmy Graham (NO)

Lastly, our weekly showcase goes out to @unYolkerton on Twitter. Here is his lineup for this weekend.

Good luck to everyone this week and don't forget to tweet at @NFLFantasyHub with your last minute lineup questions. Here to help, as fast as I can.

Week 1 Thoughts

With kickoff only an hour away, here are my picks for the week

Start of the Week: Calvin Johnson (DET)

  • With the match up against MIN, one of the worst passing defenses in the league, and with his partner Broyles out with an injury, Megatron is going to have a huge day in Detroit.
  • Prediction: 10 catches, 175 yards, 2 TD's

Sleeper of the Week: Lamar Miller (MIA)

  • I really like this kid. A rookie out a Miami doesn't plan to lose goal line carries to backup Daniel Thomas so expect a lot of carries and targets through the air.
  • Prediction: 100 yards rushing, 50 yards receiving, 2 total TD's

Bust of the Week: Colin Kaepernick (SF)

  • Difficult matchup against Green Bay, and after receiving a lot of hype in the post season and the off season, I think it will take Kaep a game or two to really get going. Still going to have a decent game, but nothing huge.
  • Prediction: 150 yards passing, 1 TD

And 1-3 players that will shine this week

  1. Steven Jackson (ATL)
  2. David Wilson (NYG)
  3. Dez Bryant (DAL)
Good luck to everyone this week and remember to tweet at @NFLFantasyHub before, during, and after the games.

Now for the fun part...

Here are my preseason picks!

Fantasy MVP: Peyton Manning (Broncos)
  • With all the targets Peyton has in Denver now, by bringing in a QB-Favorite wide receiver, in Welker, having an emerging star in Demaryius Thomas, and a stand out from last year in Eric Decker, the season looks bright in Denver
Sleeper of the Year: David Wilson (Giants)
  • Ever since Andre Brown went down with an injury, something deep inside of my mind is telling me that David Wilson is going to be another Alfred Morris. Wilson, being a smaller set will be a great in-between-runner and should get plenty of carries and opportunities to prove himself as a starter in New York.
Bust of the Year: Robert Griffin III
  • Just like in past years, NFL defenses have caught on to the scrambling type like RG3. We've seen it in the past with Vince Young, Mike Vick, Cam Newton, and I think the hype for RG3 being an ELITE quarterback is nonsense. Yes, he is going to have passing and rushing touchdowns, but I would not list him as a Top 10 quarterback this year.
Hope this helps as the first weekend approaches. Remember to comment and share my blog, along with following me of Twitter at --> @NFLFantasyHub
